The newspaper industry is undergoing major major changes as it faces new challenges. I live in the UK and have started reading The New York Times online, out of curiosity and because most films are released in the US earlier, and so I can read reviews of films earlier. It shows though that globalisation is continuing in all sorts of different ways as the internet reduces localism, and perhaps even nationalism. One day it might be called ‘The International New York Times & Guardian’ if things continue like this.
