Personally I loved ‘The Tall Guy’ which he directed (a fore-runner and sort of incubator for the later super-hit ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ and perhaps even influencing the much later ‘Trigger Happy TV’). It captured a surreal, casual, never shocked at anything, Englishness using an American actor.
