At some point we’ll realise that borders don’t make sense anymore. I suspect we’ll keep place names out of sentimentality, but borders just get in the way of things. The internet has shown we all want access to the same things essentially. One day big business will see that it can sell to more people if the developed world starts to help the developing world in the way that it should. Power, control, needing to have enemies, is all going out of fashion, as the masses see that they get little out of having military bases all over the world.
What amazes me is that governments and corporations the world over are not doing a better job of greenwashing and selling the status quo.
