Once a Lawyer, Always a Lawyer: Mediolana’s CSO and the Deep Reading Summer Sessions

It may seem impossible to believe, but once upon a time Mediolana’s CSO was just another cog in the law school machine. The mid-2000s saw him funnel through the narrow corridors of not one but two postgraduate academies – The College of Law at Store Street and the Inns of Court School of Law between Holborn and Chancery Lane – en route to beginning his career as a fully-featured legal operative. With his pre-Fukushima Muji highlighters and seemingly endless supply of tic-tacs, this CSO-to-be was apparently never more than two minutes away from redrafting a contract; it was another era altogether.

But wait! What’s this? A red pen, a blue pen, an outrageously pink Muji highlighter and the shadow of an economically unjustifiable bottle of mineral water looming large across a sheaf of papers. Could this be a dream sequence? Or are the trademark bright crimson scrawlings just further proof that the pieces of the jigsaw that comprise Mediolana’s digital study guide are tantalisingly close to locking together? Or to use a technical term: is this project approaching the ‘let’s involve lots of other people‘ stage? The court of global public opinion edges ever more proximate!
