  1. There doesn’t seem to be any mention in the original article about language (i.e. teaching in French) being an obstacle in attracting students. I’m sure France would be a great place to be a student, but I wonder whether they could ditch French to become more International. I get the impression the Germans would have no problem ditching German, but I suspect the French will cling on to their language. I hope the students that come to France will all go back to benefit their home countries.

    • Perhaps surprisingly, many French universities now have courses in English, particularly in subjects such as business, and at post-graduate level. In Germany there are still a surprising number of courses taught only in German.
